Beginner Drum Lessons
At Tempo School of Music, we offer private drum lessons for drummers of all skill levels.
Our drum instructors create a custom lesson just for you! If you don’t have a drum set, we will help guide you in the right direction.

Advanced Drum Classes
Have you been playing drums for a while but would like to improve your skillset? Our advanced drum classes are designed for musicians who have had plenty of practice and experience playing drums.

How long are music lessons?
Typically beginners take a 30 minute lesson once a week.
Advanced students may take 1 hour lessons once a week.

How much do lessons cost?
Lessons are $30 per half hour paid for a month in advance at the first lesson of each month.
At Tempo School of Music, we are proud to offer excellent teachers at some of the lowest rates in town! We want everyone to have a chance to study music. You won’t find better teachers at lower rates than ours.
Keep in mind you may need some materials like books and a metronome. You’ll buy these elsewhere, and we try to keep these costs to a minimum – usually under $30. We’re not a retail store, and we won’t try to sell you anything. We’ll point you to the cheapest places to get anything you need.
What ages do you teach?
Typically, we recommend starting drum classes around 6-7 years old. We also teach Adults.
However, a few factors may determine the students’ ability to play—for example, comfortably holding drum sticks, essential rhythmic ability, count to 4, motivation, focus, and commitment.
How hard are drums to learn?
We strongly encourage spending at least 30 minutes at home every day practicing what you learned in class. Regular practice and asking questions will allow you to become proficient on the drums.
