Voice Lessons For Beginners
At Tempo School of Music, we offer private vocal lessons for students of all skill levels.
Our vocal instructors create a custom lesson just for you! You will begin by learning the basics; singing styles, ear training, relaxing your vocal cords, breath control, vocal exercises, and vocal range.
You will also learn the difference between your singing voice and your chest voice, as well as and how to properly sing using your vocal folds, vocal registers, and vocal tract. How long are vocal lessons?
Typically beginners take a 30 minute lesson once a week.
Advanced students may take 1 hour lessons once a week.
How much do lessons cost?
Lessons are $30 per half hour paid for a month in advance at the first lesson of each month.
At Tempo School of Music, we are proud to offer excellent teachers at some of the lowest rates in town! We want everyone to have a chance to study music. You won’t find better teachers at lower rates than ours.
Keep in mind you may need some materials like books and a metronome. You’ll buy these elsewhere, and we try to keep these costs to a minimum – usually under $30. We’re not a retail store, and we won’t try to sell you anything. We’ll point you to the cheapest places to get anything you need.
At what age should you start vocal lessons?
Typically, we recommend starting voice lessons between 7-9 years old. However, a few factors can help gauge whether your child is ready for singing lessons—for example, taking direction, maintaining a consistent practice schedule, ability to focus, and motivation.
Is singing easy to learn?
Learning how to sing is made easy at Tempo School of Music. We offer in-person lessons as well as online classes. We strongly encourage spending at least 30 minutes at home every day practicing what you learned in class. Regular practice and asking questions will allow you to become a professional singer.
