At Tempo School of Music, we offer ukulele lessons for kids and adults of ages and skill levels. You can learn how to play the ukulele and the music you love with our private ukulele teachers.

There are many reasons why ukulele lessons may be right for you. Unlike guitars, ukuleles only have four strings. The ukulele can be the perfect instrument for beginners. Because of their small size, you can take a ukulele anywhere. Most importantly, playing the ukulele is fun!

Our ukulele instructors create a custom lesson just for you! If you don’t have a ukulele, we can help you choose a beginner ukulele.

You will begin by learning the basics; strumming techniques, finger work, discovering your style, and how to read chord charts. We know life can get busy with work schedules and school schedules, which is why our ukulele instructors offer online ukulele classes. How long are music lessons?

Typically beginners take a 30 minute lesson once a week.
Advanced students may take 1 hour lessons once a week.

 

Lessons are $30 per half hour paid for a month in advance at the first lesson of each month.

At Tempo School of Music, we are proud to offer excellent teachers at some of the lowest rates in town! We want everyone to have a chance to study music. You won’t find better teachers at lower rates than ours.

Keep in mind you may need some materials like books and a metronome. You’ll buy these elsewhere, and we try to keep these costs to a minimum – usually under $30. We’re not a retail store, and we won’t try to sell you anything. We’ll point you to the cheapest places to get anything you need.

Ukulele lessons typically start at around 7 years old.
We also teach adults.

Success depends on several factors such as developing hand strength, finger dexterity, rhythmic knowledge, and other basic skills. To succeed, students will need the ability to focus for at least 30 minutes, plenty of time to practice, and motivation. It is our goal to help them develop these skills.

Learning ukulele is made easy at Tempo School of Music. We offer in-person lessons as well as online classes. We strongly encourage spending at least 30 minutes at home every day practicing what you learned in class. Regular practice and asking questions will allow you to become proficient on the ukulele.
